About
Since 2012, So Frenchy So Chic has built a cultural bridge between France and Australia — condensing the 15,000km journey into a day trip full of sun, fun, live French musicians & flowing Champagne!
It’s our mission to offer Australians a unique opportunity to celebrate life’s simple pleasures in a convivial, Provençal-style picnic setting full of cultural discovery, meaningful social connection, and music.
Over the years, we’ve showcased over 50 of France’s top talent, including FEFE, Yelle, The Dø, Clara Luciani, Nouvelle Vague, Lou Doillon, Nadéah, Brigitte, Deluxe, Camille, Bertrand Belin, and La Femme … just to name a few. We work with local artists, too — in 2021 we launched Yè-Yè 2.0, a project that saw Australian female singers record interpretations of 1960s French pop hits in a series of EPs released on streaming platforms.
We also initiated a unique collaboration between FEFE and Melbourne funk band Cookin’ On 3 Burners. With a fresh lineup of French performers and gourmet food over two dates in January 2023, So Frenchy So Chic remains the poshest picnic in the Southern Hemisphere.
